Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago - Algonquin, an IHG Hotel

Absolutely loved this place one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed at clean pool, clean rooms and friendly staff . I would like to give a special thanks to Aaron, Andy & Antonio for making our family stay perfect anything we needed they were on it!

Location works well for us when we go back home to Algonquin to visit my oldest son. So many places to eat and shop in the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We got a welcome bag as members of IHG and the tolietries they have on hand if you forget something are quite nice and not offered by most hotels anymore. The pool was incredibly clean and warm. I think they said its heated to 88. We are not a fan of Holiday Inn Express breakfasts. It always looks good but my kids would much prefer a wafflemaker as the "cool" pancake machine doesn't make good pancakes. Cinnamon rolls smell great but I'm not a fan. With that said, it's always stocked and hot. Can't go wrong with breakfast potatoes, occasionaly bacon and yogurt lol.

Booked one night and ended up staying 2 nights one of the cleanest hotels that I've stayed at thank you to Allison and her team for accommodating me last minute and to the young lady at breakfast keeping up with warm food everything was amazing from check in to check out definitely will be coming back !

This is a relatively clean and very quiet hotel. It's basic- nothing fancy- but I had an event to attend nearby, so it was convenient and not overpriced. Can't complain about anything. They do have free breakfast, but I didn't partake.

We just stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Algonquin Illinois. We have stayed before and it was great. We had a little trouble with the heater in our room, but Aaron the Manager came to our room and fixed it himself immediately. Aaron was professional and very kind to my Mom and I. He even helped us pack up our car in sub zero weather and helped my 82 year old Mother to her car. This is a place I would recommend to everyone. Thank you Aaron, you made our stay so worthwhile.

Amazing experience( HORRIBLE) on 02/14/26...giving a room to someone else, room already taken with key on hand, with flowers, and veverages for especial occasion...When front desk girl, accused someone for singing a document with no PROVE.... supposed with different name because check inn, personal mistake....ego of that person is extremely high, always will be a solution..... Thank you Algonquin Police D, for the support. And thanks for clearing the huge lie that came out of this fantastic person. Never let someone trying to get in to huge trouble or scare you. Always will be a solution. Place is extremely amazing, unfortunately because of some people actitud (Ego) place comes to be not a good place.

I am grateful for a clean, affordable, hotel option in Algonquin, IL. The staff, from the check in to the housekeeping were very professional and personable. The rooms were nicely updated and the bedding was especially crisp and clean which is really nice to find at this price point.

All good just the entry from the main road is bit tricky and can be missed also there is construction going on which they noted while booking so no complaint there to just mentioned. otherwise nothing to complain pretty well maintained property.
